Mr. Kulkarni, one of our neighbors came in today and said “Did you see the news? We have crossed the 1,00,000 mark”.

“Oh Ya” was my reply.

Negative news is all around us. Its really easy to get attracted to it and think of the whole world as the worst place to live in this Universe…

My Workspace

More than 2 months have passed and I am almost in love with my ‘Work from Home’ routine.

It’s been an cool and refreshing experience when the nature around me has started to restart itself.

In this story, I express my gratitude for the blessings received by me during this time.

Looking after the body

My exercise routine has really improved during this lock down period. Don’t believe me, read on..

Late nights with family doesn't help much in getting up early. But 8am is not a bad time to start. Our Terrace is the best place for that. Pranayaam in the Sun followed by 24 Surya namaskaaras is an awesome start to the day.

Bit of stretches during the day and a 15 minute walk in the afternoon within the society keeps the body active. (Also, some Jhadu Pocha, Cleaning the floor, helps)

A 30 minute walk in the evening (on the terrace) makes it perfect for today :)

Looking after the mind

I can understand why most of the people find it mentally tough to handle lock downs.

For me, I love to read something precious after my morning Yoga routine. Just 10–15 minutes are enough for an 8–10 hour charge. Few minutes of an audio book during the evening walk gives the next charge.

The lunch break, includes an episode of one of the best Epic serials on television like Ramayan, Mahabharat and Buddha on Netflix / Hotstar.

Its lovely to read something after the evening walk too

Quality time with Family and Friends

I don’t remember spending so much time with the family. However, its not quantity but quality time that matters.

For me, cooking together is something which got us close. Doing the house hold chores also brings a sense of respect for the Indian ladies who do this, day in and day out…

I feel its a wonderful time to call up your friends and just listen them. Most of them are waiting for the lock down to end and are surely stressed up.

Catching up with them on video is also refreshing. To top it, we play some online games, like Selfie with Dost and Ghost (message me for details) which brings remote relatives closer.

Relatives, Colleagues, Old College and School friends…..never felt so close

In Conclusion

They say, every cloud has a silver lining. Covid-19 and lock downs also have one (sorry..many). Its once in a lifetime opportunity, lets not waste it :)
