Better and Cheaper Alternative to ePads, Document Cameras and Digital Boards
Covid — 19 has forced our students to stay back home, forcing our Wonderful teachers to use complicated digital methods of teaching.
Its been a constant struggle to find better methods which come closer to natural teaching. One of the challenges for teachers is to find a mechanism to show students what they write.
Teachers are buying expensive ePads, Document Camera and Digital Boards which kind of allow them to write on the screen.
Is there a better alternative?
Yes. I came across an app called Tcamera (Teacher’s Camera) which allows you to use your mobile phone as a document camera. Just download the app, scan a QR code on your laptop and you are good to to. Use it along with Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Google Meet.

Conclusion
Now, my students can easily see me and what I write. Just by using a mobile holder, mobile phone, Tcamera app and my laptop. No need to write on a ePad which makes me look at the screen when I write on the pad (how unnatural!), neither the need to buy an expensive document camera etc. Happy Teaching!!!
