Many small business customers want to switch their email and files to the cloud. The two best offerings in this direction are from Google and Microsoft. I tried to do a little research and come out will 5 key differences which can help you decide which offering is right for you.

1. Shared Team Drives

This feature is offered by Office 365 through SharePoint which is not present in Google workspace.

2. Recording of e-meetings

Again, this feature is a part of Microsoft Teams while it is missing in the Starter edition of Google meet

3. Ease of use

Google is far better than Office 365 in this criteria. It’s easy to launch a Google meet than wait for Microsoft teams to load up.

4. Per user space

This is a killer. Office 365 Business Basic offers a humongous 1TB cloud storage per user while Google Workspace Business Starter offers only 30GB cloud storage per user

5. Pricing

While the pricing details of both the offerings are almost same, I have seen that some websites offer discounts on Microsoft and Google offerings. Below are some links to these websites:

Google Workspace: https://www.bigrock.in/google_apps.php

Office 365: https://www.store.gitpl.com/

In case you know any other important difference, do let me know in the comments.
